Ursa

Ursa is a red fawn female born in January 2014. She was surrendered with Pearl and Marilyn when her owner passed away. Ursa is cat and small dog tolerant.

Ursa came to us as a shy brood, and she’s blossomed into a confident lady! She loves her people and will always stay still for some TLC, including a good brushing outside. Don’t be surprised if you get a little play bowing and silliness afterward.

She hasn’t had a lot of interest in toys, possibly because of previous issues with her teeth, though that hasn’t stopped her interest in meals. She likes to eat in her crate away from the other dogs and sometimes gets a little protective even though she’s separated.

As with many greys, Ursa likes to keep her space to herself. While she gets along with our other dogs—including a Pug—she would probably be a good candidate as an only dog. She much prefers human interaction over canine attention.

Ursa walks well on a leash and doesn’t pull much at all. She rides superbly in the car and lies down pretty quickly. She sleeps comfortably and quietly in a crate in our bedroom, and she is also perfectly fine being loose at night.

If you would like a gentle, loving addition to your family, Ursa would like to put her name on your list.
