Randy

Randy, aka KBs Rainy Day, is a distinguished gentleman born November 18, 2018. His sire is SE Tali Sundance and his dam is Boc’s Katie Girl. Randy ran in 271 races in Florida and Caliente, Tijuana, MX – he has now seen both tracks close; this fella is ready to rest and find his forever family.

Randy is special. He is one of those rare greyhounds who found greyt success on the track and therefore worked for many years before he was finally able to retire. At 6 years old, he has seen a lot and nothing seems to faze him.

We have fostered over a dozen greyhounds, and Randy is the first one who has never had an accident in the house. He also hasn’t fallen in the pool; he just knows things. He is very calm, good on a leash and surprisingly indifferent toward squirrels.

Randy gets along just fine with our two dogs and is not interested in playing with them. He does like his toys and will keep himself occupied. Randy likes to steal things off the countertops like dishcloths, wooden spoons, etc. He’s very tall and can reach over the counter, so he has never tried to counter surf – more of an opportunist approach.

Randy is very food motivated. He crates well when we need him to, except at night. Our two dogs are used to being crated when we’re away and at night. Randy prefers to sleep in our room on his bed outside of the crate. He’s a lovely boy looking for his forever family.
