Frank
Frank was born on November 1, 2019; his sire is Trent Lee and his dam is Home Made Money. With 53 races to his credit, Frank is one of the few recent retirees to have raced in Iowa, Arkansas and West Virginia. He will spend time in a foster home to learn the ropes. We do not yet know his tolerance for small dogs or cats.
Frank is a big goofy guy, and the most affectionate greyhound I’ve ever met. He loves to lay his head in your lap and just look up at you and stare. He also likes being where you are. He will follow you around the house, and if you’re somewhere for an extended time, he will lay near you the whole time you’re there.
He likes to be helpy sometimes. Every night when I clean my parrot’s cage we make the trip to the garbage can in the garage together. On that note, he has never seemed overly interested in my parrot. After about a half a day he showed no interest at all. He looks forward to to the nightly garbage runs. He helps me cook by parking himself in front of the refrigerator where there’s a small rug and makes sure I’m doing it just right.
Frank has wonderful house manners. Due to his height he can reach well onto the countertops so be wary of that. He has not chewed or destroyed anything though he loves to relocate slippers. He doesn’t chew them; he just relocates them.
He’s a voracious eater and very food motivated, so he is easy to train. We’re still working on jumping in the back of the SUV, no doubt he’ll figure it out soon. Frank does well with other canine housemates, we don’t know yet if he is cat or small dog tolerant.
