Additional Adoption Fee Information

GALT is charging an adoption fee of $750 for Australian retired racing greyhounds 7 years and younger and $650 for those 8 and over.

The Australian greyhounds arrive to us spayed or neutered with current rabies vaccinations. The transportation cost averages $1,620 per dog, and GALT spends another approximately $400 for CBC blood work with heartworm test, Protatek testing, dental and vaccinations required for this environment.

For its almost 22 years in existence, GALT has operated as a 501 (c) 3 Corporation. The Australian retired racers’ adoption fee correlates to this policy.

Flora, aka Four You, is a 2 year old black female greyhound born February 3, 2021 who is from Australia. Her sire is Barcia Bale and her dam is Kaine’s Girl. Flora has 6 races to her credit. She is okay with small dogs, but should not live with cats.

Flora (The Explorer) is a young, happy, silly, affectionate girl with a very outgoing personality and a zest for life!
She can be stubborn, but that’s only because she knows what she wants, and what she wants is to be in the middle of all the action!  Flora’s only desire is to become the center of her peoples’ world and follow you wherever you go.
She appreciates a soft couch and will show you a world-class roach as she sleeps thru the night.
Flora is food motivated and willing to sample anything you offer. She loves stuffies, ear rubs, zoomies, and playing bitey-face with her greyhound foster brother.
She also loves all the other dogs in her foster home, both large and small, though her first love is people. Flora would love to meet you and show you how wonderful it is to be adored by a greyhound.
