Tori
This beautiful girl was found as a stray near a warehouse in Houston. A group put out a feeding trap and she was secured within hours of it being set up. Another group near San Antonio took her in initially and they passed on keeping her long term. GALT stepped in once we procured a foster home. Fortunately she was disease free and just needed time to unwind. We estimate she was born in 2022. Because of exotic look, we did a DNA test to learn that she is 32% Saluki, 25% Borzoi, 16% Siberian Husky, 10% Lab and 8% Chow.
Tori is a sweet fuzzy little girl. She is very quiet and doesn’t bark. She becomes skittish with sudden noises. Tori is very much a Velcro baby. She wants to stay near where you are. She loves to watch TV with me on the couch in her spot. At night, she sleeps in a crate in the bedroom. During the day, she will sleep on the bed with me, though only at my feet. We believe she was in a home before.
Tori learns quickly! She is very food /treat driven. She has learned to go outside and potty, though if you aren’t paying attention to where she is, like at the back door, she has accidents. She enjoys car rides and will likely call shotgun!
When we’re gone, she has separation anxiety when left in a crate, ripping her bedding. Left alone, free to roam, she is fine. She has learned to walk on a leash in a quiet neighborhood, she is fearful of cars, trucks, bikes.
