Roy 
Roy is an elegant blue male born January 20, 2023. His sire is Aston Rupee and his dam is Tiggerlong Dot. Moe has 17 races under his belt in New South Wales before he hung up his muzzle.
Meet Roy, the definition of a “Velcro dog.” If you looked that term up in the greyhound dictionary, you might just find his handsome blue face smiling back at you.
Roy loves to be part of whatever is happening. Whether it is dinner in the kitchen, movie night on the couch, or simply folding laundry, he wants to be part of the action. That said, he is not high maintenance at all. He mostly just wants to be near his people. Proximity is his love language. If you move, he will quietly relocate to maintain optimal closeness.
He is a wonderful eater and very food motivated, which makes training a breeze. Treats are serious business in Roy’s world. He takes them from you very politely, but he approaches treat time with enthusiasm and focus. He crates on command. When left alone, he may get a little vocal at first, but he is not destructive, and will settle into his downtime, especially if the TV or radio is left on for him.
Roy is wonderfully cooperative with care routines. He stands still for tooth brushing and remains calm and quiet for nail trims. That composure speaks to his calm temperament and the trust he has with his people.
In his foster home with other greyhounds, Roy shines. He gets along beautifully with our two and fits right into the pack dynamic. He is sweet, affectionate, and genuinely enjoys companionship, both human and canine.
Roy is the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room, rest his head nearby, and remind you that loyalty is never that far away. He is ready to be someone’s shadow, true and trusty confidant, and very best friend.
