Additional Adoption Fee Information
GALT is charging an adoption fee of $750 for Australian retired racing greyhounds 7 years and younger and $650 for those 8 and over.
The Australian greyhounds arrive to us spayed or neutered with current rabies vaccinations. The transportation cost averages $1,620 per dog, and GALT spends another approximately $400 for CBC blood work with heartworm test, Protatek testing, dental and vaccinations required for this environment.
For its almost 22 years in existence, GALT has operated as a 501 (c) 3 Corporation. The Australian retired racers’ adoption fee correlates to this policy.

Peewee, aka Soul Unleased, born January 31, 2021, is a gorgeous blue female. Her sire is Beast Unleashed and her dam is Shez Got Soul. Peewee has 17 races to her credit at various tracks in Australia before coming to GALT.
Peewee is a sweet spirited girl with a hunger to play! She loves toys and travels around the house with them. Sometimes she mistakenly takes shoes and flip flops because they are exciting too. She absolutely loves her cuddlepillar and parades around the house with it. She is petite for a greyhound and very muscular. Her coat is soft as a bunny! She’s not a cuddler, though she will greet you with tons of enthusiasm.
She eats well, and can get distracted. She has some food aggression at times when her sister greyhounds get a little too close while she’s eating. She tries to steal their food too, so she’s still learning boundaries.
She sleeps through the night without a peep and then is bright-eyed and bushy-tailed when the sun comes up. She hasn’t had a single accident and learned how to use the doggy door on day one! She does well on walks when she wears a harness because she pulls a bit when walked with just a leash and collar. She crates well and enjoys spending time in there to cool off and catch her breath after an intense play time.
She would love to find a forever home with lots of toys and patience while she figures out her puppy behaviors. She’s a bundle of love and energy and would love to make you happy!
