GALT is charging an adoption fee of $750 for Australian retired racing greyhounds 7 years and younger and $650 for those 8 and over.
The Australian greyhounds arrive to us spayed or neutered with current rabies vaccinations. The transportation cost averages $1,620 per dog, and GALT spends another approximately $400 for CBC blood work with heartworm test, Protatek testing, dental and vaccinations required for this environment.
For its almost 22 years in existence, GALT has operated as a 501 (c) 3 Corporation. The Australian retired racers’ adoption fee correlates to this policy.

Champ, aka Shaquille, born September 14, 2020, is a handsome black male. His sire is Zambora Brockie and his dam is Jacks Girl. Champ had 44 races at various tracks in Australia before he caught a flight to America so he could find his forever family.
Champ is a dog whose name suits his personality wonderfully! He is a big, happy dog who just wins at life! Champ is sweet and playful and still a puppy at heart. He loves to explore new environments and can get a little excited and jumpy to get out there and investigate then he settles down very quickly. Despite his playful nature, he is a pleasure to walk on the lead- a super easy-going guy!
Champ is human social and dog social, an all-rounder! He has been around small dogs and after a quick sniff and hello he was happy to move on and continue his day (with a new friend made of course!) Champ is a lovely, friendly guy with a big heart. He would make a fantastic addition to any home that provides him with the love and attention he deserves. He may be Champ, though the family that takes him in is the real winner!
