Zeus 
Zeus is a dashing black born February 11, 2024. His sire is Hooked On Scotch and his dam is Robell Magic. Zeus had four maiden races in 2025 and did not show racing potential, so he chose to pursue home life instead.
Zeus is a very sweet-natured boy with a friendly and affectionate personality. Throughout his assessment he presented himself as calm, approachable, and social, enjoying interaction with both people and his environment.
Zeus has a gentle demeanor and appears to take new experiences in stride, making him a lovely candidate for a family home. Zeus has been assessed as workable with small dogs and showed friendly behaviour toward smaller breeds during introductions. His calm and social approach suggests he is comfortable engaging appropriately and would likely continue to do well with ongoing positive experiences and structured introductions around other dogs. Zeus has not yet been tested with cats, therefore a cat-free home is recommended at this stage until further assessment can be completed. Due to his sweet and gentle temperament, Zeus would be suitable to live with children aged 7 years and older.
He handled interactions calmly and presents as a dog who enjoys companionship and being included in family life. His relaxed nature and friendly personality would make him a wonderful addition to a home looking for an affectionate and easy-going companion. During assessment, Zeus displayed a low prey drive and showed little to no interest in movement-based stimuli. His calm responses and ability to remain relaxed in different situations suggest he is likely to transition smoothly into a domestic environment.
Overall, Zeus is a kind, sociable, and affectionate boy who would thrive in a loving home where he can enjoy companionship, routine, and plenty of attention as part of the family.
Zeus’ Australian Handlers
Zeus is a happy and affectionate boy. From the moment he arrived, his wagging tail and sweet smile made it clear that he genuinely loves people. He’s the type of dog who wants to be wherever you are, whether that’s relaxing on the couch, following you around the house, or patiently waiting outside the bathroom door just so he can be close.
Zeus has a signature move: leaning his whole body into you for attention and cuddles. Around our house, we’ve called him the “baby of the family” because he absolutely knows how cute and sweet he is! He definitely has a “baby vibe.”
Although he can be a little shy when meeting someone new, it usually lasts only a few minutes. Offer him a treat and that shyness goes away. He’s curious and very friendly!
Zeus enjoys a nice morning walk, especially around the neighborhood, and walks very well on the leash. Loud construction noises can scare him, however everyday sights like cars, bicycles, and people passing by don’t bother him. He understands household routines well and uses the hanging door bells to be let outside. During the day, he takes 4-5 potty breaks in the backyard (we go out with him every time. He’s the baby and wants company!)
Right now Zeus is still learning that being home alone isn’t so scary. He does experience some separation anxiety and is currently crated when left alone for his safety, as he has shown some curiosity with things like trash, clothing baskets, and electrical cords when unsupervised. His future family should be prepared to continue helping him build confidence when left alone (maybe a dog sibling would be a good idea to help with the separation!).
Zeus is happiest when everyone is together in one room, soaking up cuddles and simply being part of the family. He’s not an especially high-energy dog, though he does have occasional playful bursts.
