Trey

Trey is très awesome. 🩵

If you’re looking for a world-class cuddle bug, allow us to introduce Trey. He’s an absolute lover boy whose favorite place in the world is wherever his people are—preferably Velcroed to your side on the couch. He’ll happily follow you from room to room… and yes, we mean everywhere… unless there’s a slick floor involved. Then suddenly you’re apparently capable of surviving without him while he supervises your every move from the safety of the nearest rug.

The good news? We have some little booties for him, and he wears them like a champ! They give him the confidence he needs to strut across those slippery floors like he owns the place.

Trey’s house manners are très bien. When he first arrived, he tested the waters with one attempt at lifting his leg indoors. We caught him in the act, gave him a correction, and he hasn’t tried it since. He also came with a bit of a reputation for greeting people with enthusiastic jumps. We’ve been reinforcing “four on the floor,” and he’s caught on beautifully.

He’s also très amical (that’s “very friendly” for anyone who doesn’t speak Greyhound French). Trey has joined us for park outings, walks with other greys, a farmers market, and even a dog-friendly restaurant patio. Everywhere he goes, he behaves like a perfect gentleman and seems convinced that everyone is a potential new best friend.

Like many dogs, Trey isn’t a fan of thunderstorms. He appreciates a little reassurance when the skies get noisy and settles more easily when he knows his people are nearby.

Trey is thriving as an only dog, but he’s also proven to be a wonderful houseguest with other pups. He spent a weekend with our son’s dachshund and got along great. He’s perfectly content staying home by himself while we’re at work all day, too. We always come home to a spotless house and one very happy hound who’s ready for a walk, some couch snuggles, and an evening of being your devoted shadow.
