Palmer

Palmer is an almost 2 year old fawn male born estimated to have been born in 2020. He was found as a stray and GALT was asked to take him in. He has completed treatment for hookworms as well as a host of other conditions. Palmer will be tested for small animal and cat tolerance soon.

Palmer is a petite saluki mix, weighing in just over 50 pounds. He has morphed from a very skinny stray to one big muscle. He has a ton of stamina for long walks in this cooler weather. Palmer is a smart, food-motivated guy who charges into his crate at mealtimes or for treats. He definitely has FOMO, and will get very vocal if any of the other dogs get to go on walks without him. Palmer likes to play with toys, especially squeaky ones. He’s a snuggler and adores belly rubs.

Palmer has some separation anxiety, and may be ok as an only with someone who is home a lot. He has definite opinions about other dogs – some he likes more than others. He’s a funny boy, and a bit mouthy and should not live with small children.
