GALT is charging an adoption fee of $750 for Australian retired racing greyhounds 7 years and younger and $650 for those 8 and over.
The Australian greyhounds arrive to us spayed or neutered with current rabies vaccinations. The transportation cost averages $1,620 per dog, and GALT spends another approximately $400 for CBC blood work with heartworm test, Protatek testing, dental and vaccinations required for this environment.
For its almost 22 years in existence, GALT has operated as a 501 (c) 3 Corporation. The Australian retired racers’ adoption fee correlates to this policy.

Michelle, aka Old Mate Karen, born August 26, 2021, is a lovely fawn girl. Her sire is Fernando Bale and her dam is Karen Keeping. Michelle only had 3 races in Australia then she decided the racing life wasn’t for her. Michelle should not live with cats.
Michelle is a lovely, friendly and playful girl with a great temperament. She is a very placid dog with a sweet nature and loves to get a pat on the head (she always deserves one!). Michelle has spent a lot of time with Cavoodles and has interacted with a wide range of other dog breeds while in boarding and got on well with them.
Michelle has experience walking on the lead and while she tends to pull at the start she settles down very quickly. Michelle is a wonderful dog with a big smile and an even bigger heart, ready to find her forever home!
