Meet Gwen! She came to GALT under the strong suspicion of being a Whippet, though her DNA results proved otherwise. Turns out, she is a glorious mix of primarily German Shepherd, Pit Bull, AmStaff (plus a bit of eight other breeds)—and she truly snagged the absolute best traits of the top three!

• Personality: Playful, super smart, deeply affectionate, and very loyal
• Good with Dogs and cats: Loves her canine foster siblings and adores having dog buddies as well as kitty friends
• Kids: Best with older kids (10+). Young kiddos are a bit too fast and unpredictable for her taste
• Crate & Car Manners: A+! She sleeps like a dream in her crate overnight, handles alone time comfortably, and is a great co-pilot in the car

Life According to Gwen

Gwen’s energy level is top-tier perfection because she comes with a built-in off-switch. She is always down for a thrilling game of fetch, backyard squirrel patrol, or wrestling with her dog friends. But when the party’s over? She seamlessly shifts into relaxation mode. You’ll find her snoozing on the cool tile or quietly watching the neighborhood out the front window like a silent, distinguished sentry.

A quick heads-up on house guests: Gwen takes her doorbell duty seriously! She will sound the alarm loud and proud when someone new arrives, or if she hears the doorbell on TV, then she settles right down once the initial excitement wears off.
