Additional Adoption Fee Information
GALT is charging an adoption fee of $750 for Australian retired racing greyhounds 7 years and younger and $650 for those 8 and over.
The Australian greyhounds arrive to us spayed or neutered with current rabies vaccinations. The transportation cost averages $1,620 per dog, and GALT spends another approximately $400 for CBC blood work with heartworm test, Protatek testing, dental and vaccinations required for this environment.
For its almost 22 years in existence, GALT has operated as a 501 (c) 3 Corporation. The Australian retired racers’ adoption fee correlates to this policy.

Connor, aka Mr. Aloysius, is a brilliant red fawn male born April 16, 2020. His sire is Barcia Bale and his dam is Diligent Miss. Connor ran 94 races at various tracks in Australia before retiring in April 2024.
Connor is a real character! He is a goofy, loveable boy who adores his family and mee ng new people – the more attention on the better! He has a very gentle nature to him and loves nothing more than spending me with the people and animals that’s he loves. He is very happy around dogs of any size but is not a fan of cats so would suit a family that do not have one. Connor will be delighted to love unconditionally and will make the most wonderful natured pet! Do not hesitate to make him yours if you think that he could be the perfect fit. It’s time for him to have his very own forever home now and to have all the quality time, attention, companionship and laughs he can give and receive in return.
