Additional Adoption Fee Information
GALT is charging an adoption fee of $750 for Australian retired racing greyhounds 7 years and younger and $650 for those 8 and over.
The Australian greyhounds arrive to us spayed or neutered with current rabies vaccinations. The transportation cost averages $1,620 per dog, and GALT spends another approximately $400 for CBC blood work with heartworm test, Protatek testing, dental and vaccinations required for this environment.
For its almost 22 years in existence, GALT has operated as a 501 (c) 3 Corporation. The Australian retired racers’ adoption fee correlates to this policy.

Art is a sweet young black male from Australia born April 5, 2021. Art never raced and is not individually registered, so we do not know his lineage.
Meet Art! He is a friendly and playful boy who would love to find his perfect home. Art is very easy going and friendly. He will try and say hi to almost everyone he meets or crosses paths with on the street. He is also a big fan of any size dog but is not cat workable. He enjoys burning off some energy on walks and also saying hello to his fellow four-legged buddies.
This chilled out boy loves nothing more than to cozy up on the couch with you after a long day of being the best pet. He will more than happily chill out with you and offer lots of pats and snuggles. He also loves to receive the same kind of affection back. If you think he could be the perfect match for you, do not hesitate to make him yours.
