Queen Nominee: Mimi
I am nominating Mimi, my foster dog, for Queen of Carnival. As a ‘rare’ blue Greyhound, Mimi will look stunning wearing the Mardi Gras colors of purple, gold, and green.
In her racing career, Mimi was a distance runner (660 yards) – she has the stamina for Mardi Gras! Now, in her retirement, Mimi loves to sit on her throne (Kuranda bed) as she observes her domain (the yard) – any errant animal must answer to her! She is already a Queen!
As Mardi Gras Queen, Mimi will gladly lie by the side of her King as they welcome their GALT krewe!
