GALT is charging an adoption fee of $750 for Australian retired racing greyhounds 7 years and younger and $650 for those 8 and over.
The Australian greyhounds arrive to us spayed or neutered with current rabies vaccinations. The transportation cost averages $1,620 per dog, and GALT spends another approximately $400 for CBC blood work with heartworm test, Protatek testing, dental and vaccinations required for this environment.

Macka, aka Zambora Pete, is a black male greyhound born September 30, 2018 and is from Australia. His sire is Zambora Brockie and his dam is Complete Unit. Macka has 35 races to his credit on Greyhound Data. He has yet to be evaluated for cats or small animals. Macka would do well with older children.
Macka aka Mack is a big handsome boy that is pretty laid back, affectionate and chill. He loves ear rubs and gathering all the toys and taking them to his bed! He will pull every toy out of the toy basket. He gets along with his housemates and plays with them. Macka has also been around a puppy, and he played with her too.
Because it’s been so hot, we haven’t gone out for many walks though he was great on leash when he was at the kennel. He doesn’t really like the doggie door, though he does let you know when he needs to go out and take care of business.
He didn’t care for fireworks and storms, though he wasn’t scared like his housemates. He is a little food protective so care should be taken when he’s near his dish. Macka is crated when we’re gone and he does fine after a little whining when we close the door.
Mack is a quiet boy and would be a good possibility for an only and possibly an apartment dog depending on whether he can master the stairs. This gentle soul is looking for a family and couch to call his own.
