Lego
Lego was born on October 13, 2016; he is tattooed though never registered. Using his litter number, we learned his sire is LK’s Now R Never and his dam is Jack’s Shortfuse.
Lego joined GALT after his owner passed away. This distinguished fawn boy with a sugared face is spending time in a greyt foster home in Colorado while we determine if he has any medical needs. Look for him to be available soon!
Lego is an enormous bundle of joy. Born in October 2016 and weighing about 83 pounds, this handsome guy is looking for his new forever home after his owner passed away. He is a very happy and energetic older fella! He has some arthritis in his hind legs, but it hasn’t stopped him from jumping up and down the few steps in his foster home and doing zoomies in the backyard.
He is well potty-trained and behaves excellently on a leash. This sweet boy has never had a backyard until very recently, and he learned how to use a doggy door within a few days. You truly can teach an old dog new tricks!
He is very affectionate and will greet you with a big smile (showing teeth, but in an excited way) and sloppy kisses when you get up in the morning or when you come home.
He was an only dog his whole life, and he is getting along well with the two female greyhounds in his foster home. He is learning how to invite other dogs to play, though he tends to be too intense and energetic for them (despite his age). He is still learning how to respond to redirection, including “no” and “off”. I don’t think he’s hard of hearing though – more like selective hearing. Lego does have some sleep startle, so you need to be sure he’s awake before approaching him. He has shown some signs of light mischief, such as nibbling on houseplants and relocating shoes.
Overall he is a big bundle of joy and going through a lot of changes all at once. He is doing better and is less anxious with each passing day. We don’t know yet if Lego is good around small dogs or cats, but we are guessing not. If you are wanting to make a huge positive impact on this senior boy’s life, please consider adding this Lego piece to your family!
