Additional Adoption Fee Information
GALT is charging an adoption fee of $750 for Australian retired racing greyhounds 7 years and younger and $650 for those 8 and over.
The Australian greyhounds arrive to us spayed or neutered with current rabies vaccinations. The transportation cost averages $1,620 per dog, and GALT spends another approximately $400 for CBC blood work with heartworm test, Protatek testing, dental and vaccinations required for this environment.
For its almost 22 years in existence, GALT has operated as a 501 (c) 3 Corporation. The Australian retired racers’ adoption fee correlates to this policy.

Skylar, aka Skylar Walking, is a beautiful young white and brindle female born February 8, 2022. Her sire is Fernando Bale and her dam is Keiki. Skylar ran 13 races in Australia before retiring in May 2024.
Introducing Skylar! She loves to go out and about and explore everything the world has to offer! Skylar walks very well on the lead and loves to say hello to people and fellow four-legged friends. She can be a little excitable at first but is quick to settle. She travels very well and will happily go on new adventures with you. Skylar cannot wait to become your lifelong companion! She will adapt and fit right into your family. She is a dependable, lifelong companion that cannot wait to give you all the love she has to offer.
