Lester, aka Rappen, is a 3½-year-old, white and black boy born December 3, 2007. His sire is Fuzzy's Cannon, and his dam is GALT's own Sylvania, making his half sibling Connie and Hugo. Although there are no races to Lester's credit on Greyhound-data.org, he had been at Gulf Greyhound Park in La Marque, TX. He broke his right hock during schooling on Tuesday, April 20., 2010. Dr. Jeff Ellis of VCA Preston Park Animal Hospital evaluated his condition when received into GALT's family on Thursday, April 22. Dr. Ellis referred him to Dr. Scott Bertrand of Dallas Veterinary Surgery Center, and Lester had surgery on Monday, April 26. Lester has now been released by Dr. Bertrand as a successful repair, has completed all his other medical procedures, and is ready to find his forever home! Lester is shy and will do better in a home with canine siblings. He is cat trainable, and will be tested with small animials at a later date.
