GALTX

Irish, fka O F The Irishman, is a 1 1/2 year old brindle male born on January 9, 2019. His sire is Superior Panama and his dam is No No Babetta. He came to GALT with his brother, Huey. He never ran any races but instead, headed to retirement. At present, he is being evaluated medically and will be tested for cat and small animal tolerance soon.

Irish is the most handsome brindle fellow – pictures do not do this stunner justice. His soulful eyes reveal his sweet disposition. Irish loves to be around his people, always seeking out their company. He is happy just being around them and relaxing during down time and would make a good home office mate.

Irish takes a little while to feel at home, though once he gets comfortable, he does not exhibit any fears or anxiety about home life. As being in a home is still new to him, he is learning about house training. He is living as an only dog in his foster house and that seems to be his preference. He has done great by himself when the foster family leaves and he has been left alone for two hours at a time without incident.

He loves his stuffy toys and romping around the house. He enjoys his walks, and is a very strong boy for his (medium) size. He is learning some much needed leash manners and will do best with a young active family that enjoys outside activities and long walks. Irish is a little bit vocal, not a lot, just occasionally talking to animals on TV (he likes – or maybe dislikes - the horses best). Irish will likely adapt well to either a house or apartment life. It is not known whether Irish is cat tolerant; he did do well in testing with small dogs.
