Male Young Black & White Cats Ok
Simon is a 2 year old black and white male greyhound born October 13, 2017. His sire is Rhythmless and his dam is Jedi Freckles. Simon sustained a break in his right rear leg while on the farm and had surgery at Dallas Veterinary Service Center. He was never registered with the NGA and is now resting in his foster home. Simon is living in a home with cats but hasn't been evaluated with other small animals.
Update 11/8/19:Simon's leg has healed and his fixator has been removed. He will resume full activity on 11/12.
Simon has been the perfect foster ever since he arrived following surgery for his broken leg. From that time, he really learned to love his crate. Even though the crate door isn't closed anymore, Simon just likes to hang out and get his meals there. This spectacular cow-dog fella has excellent house manners too!
He currently lives with 3 cats and he's so good with them. One of the cats likes to play with him, and he obliges. The other two are respected and ignored. His time with the visiting small dog is equally respectful after his initial glee upon seeing her.
Simon loves to chew Boda bones and some tough soft toys. He enjoys chasing the squirrels in the backyard, sunning himself, and running zoomies. Throw him a tennis ball in the back yard and you’ll see a happy romp.
He has a shy side when in a new place and just needs some patience to help him get comfortable. Simon was nervous at his first meet and greet, and calmed down after the first hour or so. He was OK though still shaky and preferred to stand with the other hounds.
Simon's ideal home can have cats and small dogs, a yard to play in, and people who will help him through the adjustment to his furever life.
