Shine, fka Barts Still Here, is a 2 year old brindle female born on December 7, 2018. Her sire is Dundee Osprey and her dam is Barts Still Kickin; she is sister to GALT’s Bailey. She has 28 races to her credit. We’ll know more about Shine soon as she completes her medical intake and is evaluated for cat and small animal tolerance soon.
Shine is a beautiful girl who is learning that retirement is the best life. Her favorite things are food, walks, and people. When she first came to her foster home she would devour her food and start looking for more, now she knows she will always get fed and has learned to slow down and enjoy her food.
She finds it hard to contain her excitement when it’s time for a walk. She loves to explore outside and does great on a leash, although rabbits and squirrels are always tempting to chase. Fortunately she has learned the word no and will give up the chase, most of the time.
Shine absolutely loves people and will follow you around wherever you go or come and put her head in your lap for some love. She has learned good manners around the house and has learned to use the doggie door to go outside. She never gets on the furniture and has learned not to get on the bed, she sleeps on her bed all night.
Her curiosity and her impatience can sometimes get her into trouble, and she is slowly learning to control both. She would love a forever home with a yard to play in and lots of squeaky toys to play with. If you’re looking for a fun loving happy girl, Shine might be the dog for you!
