GALTX
Raggedy Ann

Raggedy Ann, aka Oh So Raggedy, is an almost 6-year-old fawn female born April 15, 2004. She raced at the Corpus Christi, TX, race track from March 22, 2006, to July 2, 2006. She was then adopted straight from the Corpus Christi track and was in a home for more than 3 years. Because the owner was getting married and moving, GALT was asked to take Raggedy Ann into our care. Raggedy Ann is a very laid-back girl who plays and plays with her toys -especially when her foster mom is not looking! It is not known at this time if Raggedy Ann is small animal or cat tolerant.

Raggedy Ann

Raggedy Ann is not only a gorgeous girl but one of the sweetest, most affectionate female greyhounds I've ever known.  She quietly follows her parent from room to room hoping and wishing someone might offer up an ear scratch or better yet a quick belly rub.  She's very smart and adaptable to new situations. She's never had an accident in my house, goes up and down stairs without a hitch, comes quickly when she's called (even off leash in the yard) and jumps right in or out of the car for a ride, no matter what kind of vehicle you ask her to get into.

She has never met a human stranger and gets along very well with other dogs. She loves the attention she gets from kids and doesn't seem to mind that they get in her face and touch her all over.  In fact she just loves everyone and especially anyone who'll show her a little attention!! I think she could be trainable with small dogs because we met have several on walks and she seemed curious but not aggressive. (Oh, yes! Walking is her favorite pastime besides eating!). Cats are probably not such a good idea for her though.

Raggedy crates patiently all day while her people are away and sleeps all night on her bed in the bedroom.  In between, it's delightful to watch her playing and prancing with her toys - she shakes and tosses them gleefully, but doesn't destroy them. She does not seem to mind thunderstorms or be afraid of any other noises so far (well, she really wasn't fond of the vacuum, but she just moved to another room when it was turned on).

Raggedy is such a happy, goofy, interactive and lovable girl.  If you are looking for a greyhound who will keep you laughing and love you back, I'm sure Raggedy Ann will steal your heart like she did mine. She's a treasure!!
