Penn, fka Dancin Pennstate, is a 3 1/2 year old red fawn male born on December 12, 2016. His sire is Cheap Thrill and his dam is Dancing Mistyblue. Penn never raced ran but instead decided to move straight to retirement. He is undergoing medical evaluation and will be tested with cats and small animals soon.
Penn is a laid-back guy who is sure to capture your heart! He will follow you around the house. His calm and easy-going demeanor puts other dogs and people at ease. Penn rarely barks or whines, and he has beautiful and expressive eyes and ears. He will give you a look that’s hard to resist, and next thing you know, you'll be petting him!
Penn really loves being outside. In the backyard, he roams around in search of squirrels, makes an occasional mad dash, rolls in the grass, and then finds the perfect spot for sunbathing! Penn also enjoys walks on a leash, but only on his own terms. He will stop to sniff out every spot, contemplate trees (or maybe just make sure he is not missing a squirrel), or suddenly decide he just wants to just stand indefinitely in a random spot. For these reasons, Penn might enjoy a fenced backyard where he can roam at his own leisure.
Overall, Penn is an independent and affectionate guy who gets along well with almost any dog or person; no kitties please! Penn has the confidence to be an only dog in a house with a yard. He would make a great addition to your family.
