Lena, racing name, Lean On Me, is a 1 1⁄2 year old black female born July 1, 2015. Her sire is Pacific Mile (a popular Irish sire) and her dam is Gavotte. She comes to GALT from Valley Race Park in Harlingen where records show 4 races for her. It is not known at this time if Lena will be small animal or cat tolerant.

TweetLovely Lena is a petite gal who is a bit timid of new situations, but given just a little time becomes more confident. She’s happy, and bouncy, and playful, and loves to explore the yard for new ‘treasures’ to carry and toss (think: water bottle, plastic pot, roll of burlap). She’s a bit afraid of rambunctious boys, but is quite comfortable around calmer Greyhounds and Borzoi – so size doesn’t matter. She walks calmly on lead, has a beautiful ‘sit’ and is learning some commands (working on ‘come’ first). It’s difficult to find Lena in the yard at night, as she loves to play ‘hide-n-seek’ where I’m always “It”. Sometimes I have to shine a flashlight around till I catch her eyes sparkling in the light. She has much more fun with this game than I do… This beauty is looking for a family of her own, with other dogs and a yard to investigate. Might that be yours?
