Faith fka TR’s Faith, is a 7 1/2 year old red female born on September 25, 2013. Her sire is Flying Coal City and her dam is Gretchen Oswalt. She has 85 races and 8 offspring to her credit on Greyhound Data. Faith will be tested for cat and small animal tolerance soon.
The first thing you notice about Faith is her striking red fawn color; sort of like a Golden Retriever in a greyhound body. The next thing is her infectious happy expression and smiling eyes. This is the happiest dog I have ever fostered. She is always excited to see you, happy to eat, happy to sleep, happy to run the backyard – well you get the idea. Faith has a bit of a wonky back leg and don’t let that worry you. It doesn’t bother her or keep her from enjoying the life of a retired racer. As a senior, she gets joint supplements to maintain mobility.
She has wonderful house manners and respects my other dog. Faith is fine with fireworks and thunderstorms. She loves to cuddle and be petted – either or both! I’ve never had a more affectionate hound and she is not pushy about it – if you are not in the mood, she will retreat to a dog bed and proceed to roach until you are ready to pet her.
