Dusti is an approximately 14 week old fawn female puppy found as a stray in west Texas and picked up by animal control. GALT was notified, and Dusti was taken to Animal Medical Center in Amarillo under the care of Dr. Wick Culp and his caring staff. Dusti has now been transferred to Dallas and her medical tests reveal a positive titer to Ehrlichia Canis as well as intestinal parasites. Treatment for both of these conditions has started. Her current weight is only 12.3 pounds so she obviously needs to gain some weight. It is not known if Dusti is cat or small animal tolerant at this time.
Dusti's blood tests indicate she has been successfully treated for the positive titer to Ehrlichia Canis, and her PCR test is negative. This little girl has completed all her medical procedures and is ready to find her forever home!
The special medical treatment cost needed by Dusti is why the Miss Mesa Fund was established. If you would like to help with Dusti's care, please take a moment to make a donation to the fund. You WILL and CAN make a difference in Dusti's life and the lives of other greyhounds in need of special medical care. Your help and support will make a difference - one greyhound at a time.
