Drew is a handsome chocolate brindle male found as a stray by the Fort Worth Animal Control. Drew is not tattooed and his age is estimated to be 2 years old. When Drew joined GALT's family of greyhounds he was a sick boy, but his treatment has now been deemed successful. He is initially a shy boy and takes a little time to warm up towards people. Drew plays well with other dogs and is cat tolerant.
Greyhounds are easy to fall in love with, and Drew is among the easiest of all. To begin, he is a stunning brindle. He is shy when you first meet him, so you might not see his delighted dancing at a meet and greet. He's a little more shy of men than women. Drew has a happy tail and greets our homecomings with play bows and dancing. He just seems so genuinely grateful for the opportunity to be with you.
Drew loves his walks, getting very excited when the lead comes out. After the initial excitement of getting outside, he settles down and walks very politely without pulling. Other than walking, Drew definitely loves the comforts of home, fully appreciating relaxing on his pillows. He has shown no interest in either of the cats in our home. He gets along well with our other greyhound, even when she taunts him to run and play. Running just doesn't seem to be his preference, although when he does, he is poetry in motion. Even when he walks he is elegant. He rides well in the car.
Drew is especially good at those great greyhound traits of leaning his head in your hands for some loving and leaning into you when he is being rubbed. He'll gladly accept a tummy rub anytime.
