Dora, fka FGF Dora Tonks, is a 1.5 year old black female born on June 25, 2019. Her sire is FGF Chisum and her dam is CTW Starrin Role.Dora came to GALT with her sister Bella and brother Hagrid. Dora has no races to her credit on Greyhound Data. She will be tested for cat and small animal tolerance soon.
Dora is a petite young girl with the softest coat. She is very affectionate and calm with her humans. She is not very vocal, loves her squeaky toys, is good on a leash, and enjoys her treats.
Crate training has been a slow learning process. She has been sleeping on a pillow by our bed at night and usually sleeps through the night. For the first month, she had zero piddle/poo accidents in the house. Since her recent spay, that has changed. We are working on this, and I know she’s capable because she did it for 4 weeks. We hope this is a temporary condition.
Dora has not been around children, though her gentle and calm nature leads me to think she would be fine with school age children. She has not exhibited any interest in getting on the furniture. She just needs a few comfy dog beds on the floor.
She currently lives with our greyhound and our son’s medium sized dog. Dora is slowly learning to interact and play with them; however, she is not safe around small pets. Our daughter’s dog is 15 lbs and Dora is way too interested in him, and not in a good way. We believe she will be fine as the only dog or with other medium to large canine companions.
