Castor, aka John Daly, is a 6½-year-old, red brindle male born on May 29, 2004. Castor's sire is Tigger and his dam is My Sherry Baby. Castor's roots trace back to some very famous Greyhound sires: Gable Dodge, Wigwam Wag, and Dutch Bahama, to name a few. Castor gave the family business a try but after competing in eight races, he broke with tradition and decided to look for a life far from the sound of the starting gun. Castor was in a home for four years, but has since been returned due to no fault of his own.
Castor is cat tolerant and has not yet been tested with small animals.
