Cricket Cricket

Cricket, aka GLB's Sweet Cake, is a petite 4-year-old brindle female, born April 16, 2002. Her sire is Gable Oscar, making her grand sire Gable Dodge, and her dam is GLB's Too Sweet, making Walt her half brother. Cricket was one of 3 greyhounds found as strays at the high school in Hutchins, TX. Isn't it ironic that her mom, Sweet, and her half brother, Walt, are already part of GALT's family? Cricket has 9 races to her credit, all at Corpus Christi, starting November 29, 2003, and ending January 19, 2004. Her whereabouts since then are unknown, but judging from her condition when she arrived (covered in fleas and ticks, with intestinal parasites), whoever had her certainly did not care. Cricket appears to be cat tolerant.

Cricket is an adorable spunky girl, packed full of personality. She is very affectionate and expects lots of kisses. I always know exactly where she is because she's always right behind me! She likes for her humans to spend lots of time with her. She enjoys collecting things from my closet, not to destroy them, just to have them near her. She uses the doggie door and has never had an "accident" in the house.

She is starting to fill out a little, which is good, since she was a little thin when she was rescued. She certainly does enjoy getting treats! Her outside coat is smoothing out and she is starting to shine. She gets along well with the other greys in the house and she plays chase in the yard with her foster brother and sister. She will make a very good companion for someone.
