Cam, aka Cameron, is estimated to be a 5 year old neutered black and white greyhound male surrendered to the Cameron County Animal Shelter in San Benito, TX. Through the efforts of dedicated GALT volunteers, Traci and Marianne, Cam arrived within six hours to his foster home in Austin, TX. This sweet boy is heartworm positive, so his treatment has started. He is being kept quiet in this foster home during his treatment, which is expected to be a minimum of four months. It is not known at this time if Cam is small animal or cat tolerant.
Update:Cameron's foster parent noticed that Cam's breathing was labored and took him to the vet. Unfortunately, Cam's condition was very serious and we said goodbye to him the evening of 10/22/19.
