Botas, fka Bold Botas , is a 4 1/2 year old black female born on March 20, 2016. Her sire is EM’s Mac Attack and her dam is Bold Betsy. She has 34 races to her credit on Greyhound Data and came to GALT as part of a cruelty seizure. Botas will be tested for cat and small animal tolerance soon.
Botas aka “Bo” is super sweet and loves to play. Toys that squeak are her favorite, and she loves to take her most prized “possessions” outside, so that no one else can play with them. Unfortunately, this causes her toys to get dirty quickly, so they are frequently being washed. However, Bo doesn’t seem to mind too much.
Bo currently lives with 2 cats and 1 senior dog. The only time she bothers the senior is when it is “walk time”. Once the leashes come out, her tail starts wagging like crazy, and that tail will swat anything in its path, which unfortunately happens to be the other dog’s face until Bo settles down after the leash is on.
When we first started fostering Bo she was very interested in the cats, and after some training and some near cat scratches, she now knows that kitties are to be left alone.
Bo is house-trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside. She doesn’t chew on things unless it is a toy, or a stuffed animal that has mistakenly been left within her reach. Bo easily adapts to any situation and is good with children. She will make a wonderful first greyhound to the new greyhound family, or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.
