Bonnie, aka Sheila's Bonnie, is a beautiful 5-year-old smaller brindle female, born February 9, 1999. Her sire is My Boilermaker, her dam is Smiley Sheila, and her grand sire is HB's Commander. Bonnie is very friendly and outgoing. She has a rear foot that was broken, and favors it. She needs to be in a home without children under 12. She is not small animal or cat tolerant. Bonnie is in a foster home with a male greyhound and is adjusting well.
This petite little snuggler is just settling right in! One look in her eyes and you just want to hug her and tell her how much she will mean to the right Forever Home!! She is one loving, cuddling little girl!! Bonnie does very well on a leash and has almost all of her basic obedience commands down pat. She's a quick learner who has had no accidents in the house since her arrival.
Bonnie came to GALT with a healed fracture in her front foot. While it is noticeably different, she gets around just fine and it doesn't hamper her mile-and-a-half walks with her foster family, or her bursts of running for the pure joy of it in the backyard. But as a result of this past injury, it takes a little while to earn her trust, and it would be best if she is welcomed into a home with no small children who might accidentally step on her foot. She has begun to allow nail trimming on it and is learning that handling her feet does not equate with pain.
If you just promise to love her - she promises to do the same for you!!
