Blaze, fka MC Firefire, is a 3 1/2 year old dark brindle female born November 23, 2017. Her sire is Dragon Fire and her dam in Super C Mckenzie. Blaze has 76 races to her credit. She should not live with cats.
Blaze is a spunky little girl with plenty of energy and a big personality. She loves zooming around the house and the yard and she relishes her daily walks. Spotting squirrels and bunnies is a favorite pass time. Every walk is an adventure for Blaze. She is keenly aware of her surroundings and scans every tree she passes for signs of life. She gets very excited when a squirrel pops out to say hello so a firm grip on the leash is always important. In the backyard, she waits patiently for a bunny to hop out from under the deck or for a squirrel to run up the tree. Luckily, so far the neighborhood wildlife has managed to escape being caught! While she gets along well with other dogs, she should not live with small dogs or cats.
Blaze is a friendly, loving, affectionate greyhound who especially loves her belly rubs and ear scritchies. She enthusiastically rewards you with the sweetest kisses and hugs for your attention. She's not allowed on the furniture here in her foster home, but I suspect she'd be a happy lap dog if given the opportunity. She loves to play and will play bow to get your attention and engage you in a game of chase.
Mealtime is Blaze's favorite part of the day except perhaps for "cookie time" in the evening, which she enthusiastically looks forward to as well. The ability to tell time is a special skill Blaze has developed. If her meals or cookies are late, she knows it and she's happy to remind you! Car rides are on her list of favorites too. She jumps in and out of the car on her own and enjoys looking out the windows.
Blaze has excellent house manners. She's smart and eager to please. She's somewhat vocal and will bark to get your attention. She'll fit right into an active family and would love a backyard of her own to zoom in.
