Rotary Luncheon

Denny Williams and his wife, Judy, of Odessa, Texas, adopted Amy from GALT this past summer. So enamored of Amy are they that they invited GALT, at their own expense, to send a representative to Odessa to address the Odessa Rotary Club about Greyhounds and the Greyhound Adoption League of Texas. On November 7, 2007, GALT volunteer, Deborah Canterbury, spoke to approximately 55-60 people at the Rotary luncheon. Everyone was interested in the Greyhounds (and particularly Amy), including the Mayor of Odessa, Tom Melton; Nora Fitch, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Odessa; and Doug Chism, President of the Odessa Rotary Club. Many thanks to Denny and Judy Williams for the invitation, to Deborah Canterbury for making the presentation, and to Amy for being such a wonderful ambassador for Greyhounds.
