March 6 & 7, 2004
You could smell the food and hear the Irish music. The weather was warm and sunny. The beer was cold. People were generous with their donations. The luck of the Irish held!!!! What a glorious weekend for a festival.
GALT had the corner booth in the Cultural Area by the door for the third year (which was left open because it was so nice outside.) This year GALT sold shamrock plants, which were a hit with all the shoppers. Thanks to Kris Schuster for the magnificent booth decorations (all green and gold, of course). It really put everyone in a festive mood.
As always, it would not have been a successful weekend without the fosters and the volunteers. Of course, a little music and beer didn't hurt. GALT would like to thank Kelly, Jim and their three beautiful brindle greyhounds and Noreen Reid and her Bridy, for driving from Houston to participate with GALT. A special thanks too, to Black Horse Design and Silk Road Collars for their continuous, generous support.
GALT hopes everyone enjoyed this cultural event and will make it an annual outing. Please put the 23rd Annual Irish Festival on your calendar for next year - the first weekend in May!
