Angel's Strays has been created in memory of Angel, beloved 14-year-old greyhound of Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, Inc. founding members, Susie and John McQuade.
Please help GALT save the lives of STRAY or injured greyhounds by making a tax deductible donation. Donations to this fund may be used to assist other Greyhounds in need as outlined in our Mission Statement.

It has never been easier to support the GALT greyhounds! GALT CHAMPIONS are dedicated GALT supporters who pledge automatic monthly donations to ensure funds will always be available to care for our precious greyhounds. The GALT champions make "no grey turned away" a reality each and every day.

You can choose your level of support from the options below or write-in the amount that you wish to pledge each month to help the hounds. It's that simple!

$15 - provides a microchip for a greyhound to add that extra layer of protection

$25 - provides a collar, lead and muzzle for a greyhound in GALT's care

$36 – provides boarding for 3 days for a greyhound waiting to be medically processed

If you prefer to make a lump sum payment for your pledge to help the hounds, we are most happy to accept that as well!

House A Hound

Help GALT's hounds waiting for their forever homes by sponsoring their boarding at a kennel. GALT currently boards dogs at BARK (McKinney) and Houn' House (Carrollton).

The average stay for an adoptable hound is approx. 4 weeks which allows time to complete vetting and general health/personality assessment before placement in a foster home. GALT's daily cost to board and care for hounds not in foster homes is $12/day with an average of 12-15 dogs being boarded at these facilities. Donations to this fund may be used to assist other Greyhounds in need as outlined in our Mission Statement.

Miss Mesa Donation

Miss Mesa, aka Mesa Red Babe, is the first greyhound adopted from GALT to make the journey to the Rainbow Bridge. It is in her memory that this fund was created.

Contributions to this fund will be used to pay the cost of medical care for those GALT greyhounds with special medical needs. Donations to this fund may be used to assist other Greyhounds in need as outlined in our Mission Statement.

The Diane Whiteley Memorial Fund

Diane Whiteley, January 2, 1951 – March 16, 2012

The GALT family is very saddened by the loss of Diane Whiteley, a true champion for greyhounds in the state of Texas. Diane was Executive Director of the Texas Greyhound Association from 2004 to 2011. It was during these years that she brought awareness of their adoption to unsurpassed levels in Texas. She was a catalyst for change in the greyhound industry and made a large difference in our greyhound world of adoption.

In recognition of Diane's love for greyhounds and her wish that GALT's work continue, a generous GALT donor has established The Diane Whiteley Memorial Fund in her honor. All memorials received will be used toward GALT's mission of "No Grey Turned Away" - something Diane fiercely supported.

We send our heartfelt condolences to Diane's family and friends at this sad time.
