As we all know, within the companion pet arena, Greyhounds are the best kept secret...and within the Greyhound adoption arena, senior greys are by far the best kept secret!
Many of you have learned the joys of being owned and loved by an older Greyhound. GALT's Greyhounds are considered "seniors" when they reach 10 years of age. Many times, we wait to salute these wonderful seniors until they have gone to the Rainbow Bridge. Everyone needs to know how wonderful they are while they are still creating their stories! Below are links to stories from GALT's family about the joys of owning a senior. It is all of our wishes to grow old with our greys...let's celebrate their lives now while they are with us!
If you own a GALT Greyhound or you are a GALT member and have a Greyhound that is 10 years or older, please send us an email with the following information that will be posted on GALT's "Senior Salute":
- Your name
- Your Greyhound's name and racing name if known
- Your Greyhound's birth date
- A picture of your Greyhound
- A paragraph about your Greyhound and your experience owning a wonderful senior Greyhound
