Pistol, aka Dynamite Pistol, is a darling black 3-year-old female, born March 22, 2004. Her sire is Oshkosh Slammer and her dam is Blazin Lisa. Pistol is definitely a Texas girl, as all of her 82 races took place at either Corpus Christi track or Valley Race Park in Harlingen, starting February 10, 2006, and ending April 5, 2007. Pistol lives up to her name, as she is full of life and cute, cute, cute! Pistol arrived on Easter Sunday with the group from the close of Valley Race Park.

Pistol passed her cat test with flying colors. She saw the kitties lying on the dogs' beds, but neither cat moved. It was like they knew she would not hurt them. She sniffed and turned away. I made the feistier cat move to see what she would do. She followed and was rewarded with a hiss, growl, and a swat on the nose. She said, "Okay, don't want any more of that!" and walked away. The cats were comfortable with her from the minute she walked in, so I would say she is cat tolerant. She is a cutie, who smiles when you talk to her. She made herself at home right away and snuggled down on a dog bed and went to sleep thinking "Ah yes, life is good!"

Little Miss Pistol is a very sweet and happy little girl who has a BIG smile for you every time she sees you and every time you talk to her. Her tail hardly ever stops wagging.

Pistol is very cute with her sleek black body and little white booties and white bottom half of her tail. It is like she was dipped in white paint.

She has been very easy to have in the house. She came in with a smile on her face and made herself right at home. She found a dog bed and settled right in. She has perfect house manners and does not get into anything. She noses the kitchen counter once in awhile when you are getting food ready, but a "No!" makes her walk away. When she has to go potty, she goes to the back door and puts her nose on the door handle. She does not mind the crate and goes right in and lays down when asked.

Pistol likes to go for walks and she walks well on a leash. She has shown very little interest in our kitties and the kitties were not afraid of her at all.

She sleeps on a dog bed in the bedroom and sleeps all night. It is like she has been in a home all her life and just knows what to do. Pistol is a very happy girl who likes to play with toys but likes to get lots of hugging and petting even more.

If you are looking for a very sweet and loving Greyhound that will always greet you with a big smile and a tail wag that makes her whole body wag, this may be the girl for you.
