Eddie, aka Rockstar Eddie, is a 4-year-old brindle male born May 9, 2010. His sire is Rejection Form and his dam is Brother's Buzz. Ricco is his littermate. According to trackinfo.com, Eddie started his racing career in January 2012 and finished in April 2014 with a total of 113 races. Eddie has legs that go on for miles - check him out!

Eddie has passed an initial cat test and is living with cats in his foster home.

Ah, Eddie. How could I not be drawn to you by your eagerness, by your enthusiasm, by your shared birthday with my younger sister and by the name you share with my precious, gone-from-this-earth father?

Eddie is a dear -- beautiful and brindle and always ready to eat. He empties his bowl, licks any remnants from that of his foster sister, Angie, and then trots over to the closed pantry door as if he's never eaten a bite. He can, however, be distracted by a squeaky toy, which makes him very happy.

When he first arrived, Eddie had an accident or two. But who can blame him? Some kids pout at new surroundings; others are scared. Eddie peed. He's quite at home now, so will go outside with a little encouragement when the door is held open.

Eddie is not, however, what you'd call an outdoorsy kinda guy. At times he doesn't quite get the whole go-outside-and-frolic concept. He instead goes out the door, makes a u-turn, and next thing you know, he's staring at you from the other side of the glass. When he's led into a grassy area, though, it calls to him and he does what he is supposed to do.

Eddie did pass his cat test, although he had one incident where he went after one of our cats. Since then, we take the cat out of the room when we leave and close the door. Now, they tend to pay more attention to him, giving him a reminder hiss when he gets close.

He does fine on the leash but is never sorry to come back home. Truly, he is one sweet fellow, and although I tend to think every pooch needs a pal, I think Eddie would do fine as an only, provided someone were with him most of the day.
