Duncan is a brindle male greyhound who was picked up as a stray by the Brownsville Animal Shelter. He is estimated to be about 4 years old. Duncan's medical evaluation showed him to be positive for heartworms and his condition is considered by his attending veterinarian to be critical. He was very dehydrated upon arrival, as well as very, very thin and has a burden of parasites, a long with positive titers to several tick borne diseases. His condition needs to stabilize prior to starting his heartworm treatment. Duncan's foster home is caring for him with much love and very carefully. We are all hoping for the best for this sweet, sweet boy. He has a long road to go.
