Hannah, aka Goshen Hannah, is a beautiful, 3-year-old black female born October 17, 2004. Her sire is the Irish-bred Spiral Nikita and her dam is Fastest Bow Wow. Hannah was quite the contender with 101 races to her credit beginning April 20, 2006, at Corpus Christi, TX, and finishing there on December 29, 2007. She is on to the next phase of her life – retirement!
Hannah is a very beautiful, 3-year-old female with a sweet, loving, joyful disposition. She had the rough coat of an experienced racer when she arrived in my home, but all that is in her past now. She is sleek, shiny, and silky-soft.
Hannah has quickly learned how to be a loving pet. She enjoys the doggie door because it allows her to collect her stuffies and take them outside where she races around the back yard with them in her mouth! Of course she then neglects them in a heap outside. Hannah loves to lie on the soft grass in the sun, but call her name and she is up and ready for anything you have in mind. She will get very excited when it is time to eat and loves to go on walks and for rides in the car.
Hannah has met a one-year-old boy (2-legged!) from across the street, and loves to sniff and kiss him! He loves to pat her and pet her ears, and she allows this attention with grace and patience. She is also very good with the small dogs in her foster home, preferring to walk away when the little ones get too rough with her.
One of her faults is that she is may be too interested in the neighborhood kitty population (when she sees them thru the windows her huge donkey ears stand at full attention!). However, she has not been cat tested with indoor cats, but we hope to do that soon. She is an accomplished counter surfer. Keep food out of her reach and she will leave the counters alone, but will do a sniff-by occasionally to see if you've lowered your guard.
Hannah is an easy-going girl; she will let you clip her nails, brush her teeth, and clean her ears. She loves to be brushed, and will lean her head on you and listen to you tell her how wonderful and pretty she is.
She would be an excellent first greyhound in a home with or without other pets, as long as she has her people she will be content to share her life with you.
